Anderson Elementary 3rd Grade Entrepreneurs

Charlotte Anderson Elementary third graders studied economics this six weeks and learned real-world connections by planning and operating a successful business at school for three days with all proceeds being donated to SafeHaven of Tarrant County, a local charity that supports children and seeks to end domestic violence. The project, Third Grade Trinket Trunk, was a student-run store along with assistance from their teacher sponsors.

Parents donated items to be sold (slap bracelets, colorful shoe laces, pen bracelets, jelly spike bracelets, temporary tattoos, fun pencils, erasers, etc.). In three days, the store earned $700 to donate to SafeHaven.
